Digital Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a cutting-edge Digital Marketing Specialist with 3–5 years of proven experience to lead the development and execution of a branded campaign designed to elevate Sohubox's visibility and positioning across Africa and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, creative digital marketing campaign aligned with Sohubox's brand identity and strategic objectives.
  • Build and enhance Sohubox's digital footprint through targeted social media strategies and dynamic website content optimisation.
  • Create compelling graphic design assets, digital content, and captivating copy that clearly communicate Sohubox's unique value proposition.
  • Utilise and deploy advanced AI-powered marketing tools to generate insightful analytics, personalised content, and impactful storytelling.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance metrics using data-driven approaches to continuously refine strategy and demonstrate impact.
  • Manage and optimise digital platforms to ensure consistent brand messaging and maximise audience reach.
  • Collaborate closely with communications, strategy, creative, and technology teams to integrate marketing efforts cohesively.
  • Stay at the forefront of digital marketing trends, especially in AI innovations, ensuring Sohubox leverages the latest technologies effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or related fields is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, SEO, or AI applications in marketing (e.g., Google Digital Garage, HubSpot Academy, Hootsuite Social Marketing Certification) will be considered an advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of digital marketing experience with a solid track record of building brand visibility and positioning for organisations in Africa or related emerging markets.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong digital marketing skills, including expertise in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), website CMS (WordPress preferred), SEO, and Google Analytics.
  • Exceptional copywriting and content development capabilities tailored for diverse digital platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI marketing tools such as ChatGPT/GPT-4, Canva AI features or Adobe Sensei, MarketMuse or Clearscope, Lumen5 or Synthesia, and HubSpot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrated with AI.
  • Ability to analyse key digital metrics (reach, engagement, conversion rates) and use insights to move the needle on brand awareness and audience growth.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Africa's digital landscape, online user behavior, and regional nuances across Anglophone, Francophone, and Lusophone markets is an advantage.
